Born in San Francisco, this city is truly our hearth and home. Living abroad in Europe for ten years taught us an appreciation for quality of life unmatched here in the US. Detail to craft, food, and community made visiting small local businesses distinctly pleasurable.

At Hearth, we have a dedication to our product and craft that we believe is unparalleled. Keeping it small, specialized and hand-crafted is our goal. You won’t find us everywhere. We strive for excellence at our specialty in our local town, allowing us to focus on quality and be personally involved. Our strengths are our selections of fine single origins and our dedication to coffee roasting and preparation techniques that bring out the best flavors of a fine bean. 

We began as home roasters, focused completely on creating coffees that delighted us as truly special products. We continue with that home-grown passion today when cupping and sampling. We strive to select coffees with characteristics we find to be genuinely special — coffees with distinctive, unique appeal that do justice to the uncompromising hand of the grower and the skill and dedication of the roaster and barista.
